When i was 23 I started a blog on Tumblr that I absolutely loved. It was so much fun creating a blog where I could share all my dating adventures and mishaps. I had a huge community there with lots of people who would not only comment and advise but also ask for advice. While I was in my early and mid twenties It was my haven. I loved going on there typing out a few words to let it all out and move on with my day.

However, when I met my partner things changed. My blog was all about dating and finding someone and when I met the person I knew i was going to spend my life with, it didn't feel authentic writing in the same blog so I let it go. It felt like it was time. The Tumblr account is still there and maybe one day I'll share the link to because...good times.

But fast-forward to 2021 as a 31 year old, I'm looking for community again and things have changed on Tumblr. And things have changed all over. It has been so incredibly hard to find a journaling/writing community so I'm giving Dreamwidth a try. I really hope I found a little corner of the internet that can be a space to just be whatever it is that we are. So far, from the little reading AND subscribing to journals that I've been doing, I'm feeling optimistic.

I believe this is the start of beautiful friendship.

I wrote a post about setting up recurring posts. That makes it easier to establish a blog and an audience.
